The Name

I have little doubt that it's one of the main reasons you are here. Potentially obviously, it was given to me at birth. I grew quite attached to it, before I realised how heavy it would be.

Often when someone asks for my full name for a form being filled out or something like that, I'll say. 

"Max Dicks, spelt like the penis." 

I find it easier to acknowledge it immediately. Even though there is a tension in my chest.

Anyway, it was a rough time growing up.

I don't know why "has-no" as an alternative for my middle name has stuck in my head for so long, but here we are.

I have grown to like my name, as I feel it has made me the man that I am. I think he is a good man.

I know that I'm leaning heavily on my name to promote myself for this election.

I figure it's time for The Name to do some of the heavy lifting, because my wallet certainly can't.
